Axcel’s objective is to create strong and valuable companies.

Axcel was founded in 1994 and now has a wide range of Danish and international investors. We focus on medium-sized companies in Denmark and Sweden. Since our establishment, we have actively invested a total of DKK 6.6 billion through capital injection in Danish companies via three private equity funds.

With 35 investments, we have made more investments in medium-sized Danish companies than any other private equity fund in Denmark. So far, 18 of the companies in which we have invested have been further developed and sold.

Today our investments comprise 17 companies in widely differing sectors with an overall turnover of approximately DKK 12,5 billion and approx. 9.000 employees. Since its inception, Axcel has built a comprehensive industrial network in Denmark and abroad, not least by making around 40 major international add-on acquisitions.

Our investment team is one of the largest in Denmark, with 20 of our 27 employees focusing on investments. Over the years we have acquired an in-depth knowledge of how, as a private equity fund, to create strong companies through active leadership.

Our team is widely experienced in the development of companies, having gained experience in management positions in industry, management consulting and corporate finance, advising on the acquisition and disposal of companies.
